Sicangu Lakota Akicita
Sicangu Lakota Akicita is the Lakota phrase which translates to Soldiers of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. Native Americans have the highest rate of enlistment of any group in this country.
The Sicangu Lakota, as well as other American Indian tribes, have a very long history of being courageous in battle. Today, the Men and Women of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe continue to join branches of the US Military in order to perpetuate the brave warrior tradition set down by our ancestors.
This site will feature many Lakota Akicita who have served or are currently serving in various branches of the military.
